Black Talk Therapy is a Montreal based project designed to engage youth in conversations and practices around challenging (and embracing) health and wellness narratives in the Black community.
Black Talk Therapy is now accepting applications from young adults aged 18-20 across Montreal for our Summer Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Gain experience in community outreach and event planning focusing on activism, culture, food, art, wellness, and language within the Black Montreal community.
- Participate in community events supporting and serving the Black community, as well as other underserved cultural groups / visible minorities in the Greater Montreal Area.
- Lead (or assist) in the design and delivery of specialized workshops.
- Learn more about methodologies to incorporate and practice wellness as an everyday form of therapy.
Though those from all backgrounds are welcome to participate, we strongly encourage applicants from the English speaking Black community of Montreal to apply. Particularly those interested in at least one of the following topics:
- Black Activism
- Black Culture
- Black Food
- Black Art
- Black Wellness
- Black Language
Each intern will be awarded a $500 stipend to be distributed in two installments of $250. One at the midway point and the other upon successful completion of the internship.
